About Us

Auxocardia is a place for students and future providers to share in the process of becoming. It is a place for the heart growing, the heart-breaking, or literal questions about the heart (why is it important? Why does it keep beating? Why do I have chest pain? Ok, maybe not that last one.)

Auxocardia seeks to share the triumphs, trials, and tribulations of medical, social work, midwifery, nursing, dentistry and PA school. It seeks to support the med stud seeker in answering questions like “Why am I doing this to myself?”

“Why do I suck at this?”

and also:

“Help.”

It seeks to recognize the immense privilege of working in the healing professions, honoring the patients we serve, and recognizing the teachers who shape us, while also offering an honest take on the constant, never-ending awkwardness.
